Sacred the "411" on the game....

All of you I am sure have heard of Sacred a new game that just came out from Asceron Entertainment. The people at Asceron have promised and predicted to us that this game will have an exceptional multiplay engine, like D2 and fast sever speed. Needless to say, I became interested and got the game early from a friend overseas....

If you not aware of Sacred this is a little run down about it:

It is a game much like D2 itself with different character classes, items, skill choices, levels, currency (runes), etc...etc...The skills are given out differently and you have to level up 5 levels before receiving a new skill (not like D2's one) but then you get 3 skill points and 1 stat, so the ratio is more like, .8 per level.

After playing single player for a few nights I was hooked. The game graphics are 10 times (if not more) better than D2, the items are endless and the story line very similar but with a more modern approach. Then came the disappointment Sad

When entering a closed server realm the following problems accrued:

There is no trade screen :eek: There is no friends list :eek: Whispers are very difficult to accomplish and make communicating very troublesome :eek: I was constantly being booted out and dealing with server errors and crashes :mad: And the worse part, I could not play with my friends because there is not "private games" :eek:

So the Asceron guys have promised to fix all these things and more with patches and so on, we all know about patches Rolleyes So basically it comes down to this, If you enjoy playing single game then this is a great game but anything beyond that at the present time is a disappointment and hopefully in the future this will change...

that sucks lol i think the reason u buy games like diablo is to interact with other people i hate playing on single player and no trade screen wtf is up with that it is probly ganna be like diablo 1 where u dont haved to trade just dupe them

Well they say that they will patch all this stuff be that would take some major re-writes...

And then also there is the question, how long and then will they (the changes) even really work properly or may need more adjustments..

If they are really serious about multiplayer it may take a different version (or two) to bring them up to speed, so we're talking a year to year and a half :eek:
