armor good for fort?

i've got an eth sup (6%ED) mage plate...is it worth trying to get 4 socs and making fort out of it? its 416 defense right now, so it would probably be like a 1200 fort. is that too low?

since it will be eth, yes too low. eth you want to have armor around 700+ def, i wouldnt even use that low def for non eth

I prefer non sup eth, with the bugged eth glitch. I use it alot to make super Stone armors for dueling. I have a 4200 one currently. Was meaning to get a higher one but I just got back into d2 to play around with friends. Also Mage plate might not be too bad for him, he could want the low str req. However I thought max mage plate was 3 sockets.
