Installing downloaded stuff

I downloaded steves barb and some items but how do I install them or put them on my character?

i don't think you can play that char on battle.net, only single... if u can play it on bnet, possiblility is that blizzard will take action against u.

You can't use them on battlenet. If they are Diablo II saved files, put them in your save folder inside your Diablo II one.

Item files you usually use a program like hero editer to import onto a charcter. What are the letters after the period in the file name?

Where can i get hero editer?
