keylogging is where you infect a file (.exe) with a keylogger, when the victim opens the file they get the keylogger installed on there computer invisibly. once done, the keyloger records everything they type and sends it to ftp or email

anyways, how do you prevent/get rid of keyloggers? because i hear a lot about these but only knew what they did not how or anything like that.

prevent them by not downloading stuff from random sites and having a good antivirus

probably the easiest way to get rid of them is to reformat.

Thats everyone's answer to everything they don't know about computers. Reformat. There are many tools to help you if you are infected.

Reformat is an idiot way out (no offence Siris)

Download, install and run a scan with a good AntiVirus such asAVG Free

You can use online scans such as housecall.trendmicro.com]TrendMicro Housecall, or if you want, you can send someone who knows what they are doing (I am one of those people), that can read a HiJackThis log file.

These things can be easily fixed and removed, don't settle for loosing everything on your harddrive for one silly keylogger.

oh ok so something like microsoft antispyware beta1 would take care of all this stuff cause i run scans on that regulary.
