Hows the andy glitch work?

You kill andy and then leave the game, and then create a new one to talk to warriv in? is that it? just curious thx

huh? what are you talking about?

if u kill andy, u finish the quest and therefore can move on to act2. as long as the quest is completed, u can leave and move on to act2 in another game if u like.

yes, why not? if the quests done he'll take you there. game basics nothing glitch/bug-like about it.

I think that he thought you had to do the quests in sequential order (finish quest 1-5 before you do 6)

You guys don't know what he's talking about. The Andy bug goes somewhere along the lines of:

When you kill Andariel, you have to speak to Cain as well IN THE SAME GAME, after killing Andariel. This will bug Andariel's drop, and you will always get quest drop from her in the given difficulty.

I may have missed some parts out, so before you try doing it yourself, go and find out elsewhere.

well i think if you bug andy's drops it increase the chances of better uniques and such drop. i think in nm andy with andy quest drops the chances of soj dropping are really high

OK, so maybe a better question is how? Can someone please explain 1. is there a bug? 2. what is it and what is it supposed to do? and 3. how do I trigger and exploit it?

Each time when you kill a boss as a quest, you get better drop from that certain boss. With this method, Andariel's drop is permanently bugged and will always give better chances that usual (quest drop).

I think this is one of those resurfacing rumors that keeps getting ressurected when someone reads a glitch from several patches ago. Like item fountians etc...

Anyways I've got a sorc that is doing norm baal right now, i'll play around with NM andy tonight.

So, I couldn't find a final answer to this question, so I decided to do a test.
It was done on /players8, after each session, the character was renewed from backup. I did never actually go to 2nd act.

Results:
1) First (quest) Andy kill, then clicking on Cain, then save & exit, new game and Andy dropped crap (gold,potions)
2) Andy first kill, talking to Warriv, save&exit, next game - quest drop (to be sure, I have done 2 other runs - with no junk/gold)
3) Andy kill, talking to all NPC, but not with Warriv, exit, normal drop (gold, antidote)
4) Andy kill, exit, Warriv, normal drop (gold, potion)
5) Andy kill, all NPC including Warriva (the last one), exit, quest drop (no junk/gold in next 2 runs)

So to activate Andy drop bug, you need to talk with Warriv in the same game when you kill Andy for the first time. It is not necessary to go to 2nd act.
Someone maybe already know this, I want to share with those players who didn't know this too.

I don't know how to do bugged andy but what it is:

When 1.10 came out, they added quest drops. Where the very first time you kill andy for a new character (or any act boss for that matter) on that set difficulty for quest, she will always drop very good items like uniques and such.

I have done andy run where she dropped nothing and sometimes only one pathetic magical item.

What the glitch does is make andy always drop as if it was her first time killed for that character on that difficulty. So when you go back to her later in that difficulty she will drop good items such as all uniques or all set items instead of the chance of getting nothing or one magical item a run.

And since shes the best to mf for sojs on nightmare your chancies on nightmare runs with her with the glitch is alot better then, since she will always drop good items.

The andy glitch drops is just another rumor.
