Whats the highest damage in game?

everyone that has said lite sorc keeps putting their damage capped at 50k...is that the most a lite sorc can do? cause my sorc is over 50k meteor now...and still not completely finished

Again i shall say PvM/PvE Poison Explosion by Necros can do 80K+. Light Sorcs can do 60K+. (mine got to 64K)

technicaly the highest dmg would be a melee dmg, since it can only be reduced by 50% in PvP, unlike elemental dmg that can be absorbed up to 40% and resisted up to 95%.

in 09 my tiger strike assn did 40k at 3rd charge.. but u know, 4 soc bvalor with havoc jewels and etc etc.. so not exactly legit, but still was on closed

A well built Nova-mancer can do pretty good, especially with a dream helm (poison takes them down to around 1 health on most noobs, dream aura finishes them off)
Nova takes (correct me if I'm wrong) 2 seconds to inflict it's damage.

But using poison explosion isn't pratical. Sure it has a very high damage, but it's over like 12 seconds. How many 50k lightening bolts can you shoot over 12 seconds?

Technically, sorcs have the potential of doing the highest damage, but most of it can be absorbed. I.E Let's look at a fireball sorc, doing 20k damage in one fireball. Now apply the PvP penalty of 3/4, so you are only doing 5k. Then apply 95 fire resi and 2xDwarf Stars and it will be a laughing matter.

Yes, physical damage can also be reduced, but it's capped at only 50%. On the other hand, it can also be blocked, and you need AR to hit (in most cases). So I guess that "doing damage" is really more skill than anything.

Since it says the highest in the game... then open is in the game as well. Just to throw this out there an 09 char over lvl 1 billion with 100% open wounds does the most dmg. no matter what your regain or how much life you have open wonds will over power and bring your life to 1. Open wounds depends on your lvl and when you are like lvl 2 billion thats hella dmg. all other types of dmg have caps when when you go over the cap it will roll your dmg to negatives.

vote lightning sorc, 40-50k is about best damage you could get, without support skills, like a melee sorc has to use. Plus there aren't any support skills for a lite sorc.

u will never get htis high without support skills.... u have to max out all skills to get this high including mastry and chain lightning, nova , and charge bolt

Support skills are called syngergies...and when we take about Lighthing damage of 50k then we mean it with all synergies

Snipz are u talking about a sorc with Beast and dream helm and shield and that maxes chant and lite mastery and turns into a wear worlf? is that that the meele sorc u are talking about? cuz thats like a VERy rare biuld and it kiks a lot of ass... a wolf with chant and 2 dreams lol kills pvm

Sorry, my bad, the PvP penalty is 5/6. Oh, and Assassins can block hammers with dual claw block.
