I'm trying to run 2 instances of diablo at once

And it's not working! I didn't know whether to bump the old thread, or start a new one, so I apologize to the mods if I messed up.

I recently acquired a new set of CDKeys. I went through the entire year long process of running 2 windowed instances of diablo 2 expansion. I've done it twice now, nad it's still not working.

My question: If the CDKey was invalid, would I get the error that only 2 instances of diablo may be run at the same time? When I take the disk out of the drive [As I SHOULD be able to run it without the disk now that I've copied the music and video files out] it gives me the error that I can't run diablo 2 without the disk in the drive.

I'm frustrated. This also says it's for Diablo 2 1.10... is that the problem? Is there some different solution that I need for 1.11b?

Hmmm. Are you using the latest version of D2 Loader?

There is a program in the downloads here (forgot what it was called) that makes .mpq files for you with your CD keys, thats what I used to get two windows up and going and I haven't had any problems since.
