hey,
some guy was giving a free account out and he told me to give him my rank by typing
/dnd account name pass rank
i did it and he gave me the account and i went to see if it worked and it didnt and then i tried to log back in mine and the password was changed? so is that a scam doing that or what is the prob
just wanting to know if thats how i would of got scammed coz i thort since its a normal command for bnet it wouldnt be a scam so yer

wow people still fall for /dnd scams? when you type /dnd and something after it, when someone sends you a wisper it wispers back to them what you put after the /dnd. so when you put your password there, he wispered you and found out your password and logged into it and stole your account

u can just ask 4 a new pass and hopefully they send u a new pass

if you registered your email with blizzard you can do a password recovery...if not you are screwed. and even if you did, all your gear is probably gone already and your chars are probably deleted

Ouch that sucks hard. I had that happen to me in first ladder. I got my pass back and i got on and all my chars names where like LOLYOU FAILEDFOR THISOLD SCAMHAHA YOUUNOOOB All lvl 1 chars and all my items gone lol. Best case scenerio is you will still have your chars

sorry dude but that is pretty dumb. hopefully you didn't have good gear cause obviously you did't know better. the guy doing it just did it becasue he could.
anyway, i've seen that scam in the west chat room...someone from d2items.com has a "free" giveaway to promote their site and all they needi s your character rank then they say type dnd whatever....hardcore

What I dislike even more is people who claim that those who fall for this scam are stupid. Seriously, it's a command. You feel like you're secure when using BNet commands. I never really fell for that one, but I certainly did fall for a similar scam, and I wouldn't call it "stupidity" as much as I would call it innocence.

well i think that this way of scammign shouldnt occur unless ur like 10 years old, cuz its pretty common knowledge to understand not to give ur password to anyone, not even typing it in the chat window!!! but yeah man i hope ur items werent good cuz theyre prolly gone.
