aight replace all your stock speakers get some tweets and a pair of subs i like 12's myself have a amp set up on your stock speakers and a amp set up on your subs

and if u want a good sound system, thats in a promotional package, thats comes with 2 12" subs, 1 amp, box, and complete wiring, search for volfenhag. its a fairly small company, but they make very good products. the whole package should cost around 200-250. or if money isnt an issue, go to ur local walmart, and buy some kicker 15" subs, a box, 1000 watt amp, and all the essential wiring. usually, factory speakers do the job, they arent shit, so you shouldnt have to replace them, unless one is already blown, then you might as well replace them all.
and as for installing them, they should come with directions, and its fairly simple to understand. or take it to some local shop, and have them install it all for 50-100.

usually depends on the speakers, but if your just starting out with car audio i suggest not buying a really expensive one as your most likely to blow something. i suggest just a cheap pioneer deck, nothing to fancy a couple jl 10's or 12's and a boss audio amp, once you get really good with stereos youll be able to get really good high end stuff like what i have....MTX Jackhammer baby 22" of pure sub

wow... thats alot of watts.. and the rms is AMAZING! walmart sells kickers?.... but i think id rather go to frys for my electronics.. they always are much cheaper then walmart...
so if i buy a pair of subs.. example like 2 1000 watt and lets say... 500rms
does that mean im going to need an amp that supports 1,000wats? or 2,000 watts since they are 2x1,000watts...?

i am with him i just got a new 05 focus and i wanna get a system in my car but i have no idea wat to get. i have 1 ten that a friend gave me but i have no amp.. it is in its own box all i need is a amp but do u think it will sound funny with only 1 speaker?
