I think Sting's Hackmap stole my CD Key

Hey all,
I came back to D2 about a week ago. Two days ago I started using Sting's Hackmap, and then today when I went to log on it said my CD Key was already in use by "Leeroy".

I downloaded the Hackmap from this site from the guide on the sticky that says "Sting's Hackmap for dummies" or whatever...

This is the ONLY hack I have used so I simply do not see what else could have done it.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Is there anything I can do to prevent my CD Key from being used by him anymore???? Will Blizzard give me a new key if I give my old one to them and say someone stole it?

I said I downloaded it from THIS site , from the Guide that is stickied at the top of THIS Forum that says "Guide to sting's hackmap for dummies" or whatever.

Are you sure you downloaded it from this site downloads from this site dont contain viruses of any kind.

Lol... your cd key can just be in use by someone. No reason to blame the map hack because lots of people use it.

There have been a rash of people posting bogus programs that are Autoit scripts that read certian files of yours.

There is a site somewhere that has the actual scammer program that does this, and people just impliment it with the right sendto information, used to steak CD key's etc.

That would be my guess, if you've downloaded a program that didn't appear to do anything and then deleted it then I'd have to say that is what happened,

or possibly someone got infinitely lucky and used a Keygen (they do exist) that generated the same number as yours...

It most likely didn't come from the maphack, especially if you got it from this site. You can trust the downloads here, and also keep in mind that when you download maphack you do it AT YOUR OWN RISK.

There is a new hack going around that when you run this autoit script it steals your cd keys and emails it to the person that sent it to you (it has a changable email). The funny thing about this is no matter what the email is set up as the creator of the program also gets sent an email with all of the cd keys. You gotta love hidden coding.

yes you can get your original cd-key back, all you have to do is send them a mail saying that someone is using your cd-key, proof of purchase and theyll send you a new one

not true!!! i looked over the code on the original forums where the hack was posted and i even used the hack on my own cd-key and nothing, i have been playing everyday and no one has used my cd-key

I apologize if I sounded as if I was saying that it was in fact the maphack that did it - I was frustrated at the time and I was only simply intending to ask if anyone else had a similar problem.

It turns out that my suspicion was incorrect after all anyways. I know now that it was not the Maphack's fault. A friend gave me a call a few minutes ago and admitted that it was him who got the key from my computer.

I apologize for the misunderstanding and would like to thank BlizzSector for providing a great service to Diablo II players.

It is true, it sends an email to the person that made the program. I am not sure if it even reads the email in the INI file I did not look to see.

i DONT believe that stings hackmap steals your cd key ive had it since it first came out and ive had no problems the only problems i had was configuring it lol i got mine from www.d2sector.net under hacks or sumptin , but soem maphaks have backdoors which sends them ur cd key when u run it but stings hackmap doesnt and theres no doubt about that.
