Evolution is still just a theory. I don't know if scientists will ever be able to place down concrete evidence. Unless we someday figure out how to travel into the past.

There is plenty of physical evidence behind evolution, but none of it can be related. Like the body they found in ice awhile back, not quite man, not quite monkey, just in between somewhere.

Just take the relation of modern day birds and prehistoric dinosaurs. Everything has to come from something. Do you think we just came about in a poof of dust?

Listen, evolution seems like the best option for science. But theories have been known to come and go. Although it seems like evolution is here to stay forever, we just can't go out there and say its absolute.

Still, if the theory of evolution were to be proved wrong, what other way would you think we got here? Besides some magic force that nobody has ever seen but tends to worship because of the things he/she didnt do.

The funny thing about science is that nothing is absolute. We always seem to make a major finding and then seem to catch flaws in them. Therefore, I couldn't answer this question because we wouldn't be able to imagine any other possible way until we discover it.

The Earth is about 6.6 billion years old and life didn't appear till about 3.5 billion years ago...and the first human, Homo erectus, appeard about 1.6 million years ago...so considering it on a geological time scale humans have not been around that long...
