I need to take only part of an audio file and make that into a file. Like for example, taking the first 30seconds of a song and turn that into its own file so when you open it you only hear the first 30 seconds and its done. I'm taking part in the middle out though so is there a special program i need or can it be done with programs that come with windows xp?

Many of these applications are called MP3 splitters... I know more about video editing applications, so I would not be able to recommend anything to you, but just do a Google serach for MP3 Splitter and see if you can find something that helps.

hmm i use a program called wave pad and i make my own ringtones with it...
search it and see if you can find and if you can't hit me back and i'll give it a try

When I make maps in starcraft I usually covert a mp3 to a wav then use claudiasoft Wavsplitter and then leave it wav, but dbaudio has a nice wav3mp3 - mp32wav converter. You should be able download at phazeddl.com and then get your serial or crack from there also.
