Best Sorc?

What do YOU believe the strongest sorceress is?

My opinions Blizz because damage is so damn high with its many synergies.

Some people think frozen orb... why :X

I myself dont really like sorcs because they can be absorbed so easially, however if i had to say what the strongest one would be it would have to be blizzard, anyone without stacks or sorb being hit by a gfg blizzard would die in one hit, except for gg barbs and druids of course.

orb hits about 3 times per blizz hit, so they actually do about the same damage. plus orb is about 31223632 times easier to hit things with.

please post in proper forums from now on~moved

i think light or fire.. ltie can do 1-60k so its not that good its chance but fire does some solid damge can do like 30-31k so its really up to you to deside they all are good but blizz has slow cast and doesnt really aim that well..

It's not about what you believe, it's about the facts. Light sorcs have the highest damage in the entire game, but like propel_water said, the damage gap is huge.

Cold sorcs are underpowered by the fact that cold mastery lowers resists instead of adding damage to skills. This means that unlike for other sorcs, Infnity is not going to add a lot of damage. Also, in PvP, if you stack resists hardcore (my brother tried it with his bvc, he stacked about 200 cold resist, and there isn't much that cold sorcs can do).
If you had a 5k Blizzard :

5000x0.17 = 850 (PvP penalty)
850x0.25 = 213 (75 cold resist)

As you see, it's not really a lot, if you have geared yourself up.

Add in 2x Raven Frost and Blizzard will heal you, instead of dealing damage.

Im always told orb sucks but i think it can be GG. But Cold sorcs prolly best for the mastery lowers resists.

not really true... if your doing sorc vs sorc orb will get owned... for the fact that both sorcs are gonan tele a lot once u hear orb you tele away and your safe... light or fire wil lland one hit on that sorcs and its over.. fire is good also travels fast splash damge and close dmg range.

I'm not very fond of sorceresses, in pvp they can be absorbed. I would go with best overall = Light sorc, can key, can rush, can pvp sometimes. Like a hammerdin, but it's better if you have godly equipment.

but check this out if you think sorb and all that crap.. get a orber put doom on her..thats like -45 cold res facet in nite wing thats -5 and a -20 mponarch shield.. and the cold mastery no sorb will stop your orb garantee

Definately will. 4xPSapphire Monarch, Kira's Thul, anni, torch, etc other stuff on a bvc. Or come on, a hammerdin will just use a 4xPSapphire Vortex with +45 all. Not counting dual Raven, of course. Stacking really is not a problem.

Sorb/Poke = Light Sorc + Autoaim, pretty lame.
