D2 key enough to get on?

Yup, had two of my accounts banned and key should have a month ban. I have another D2 key and I was wondering if I can use that and get onto Bnet or would I need a new key for Expansion as well.

Mods: I put this in hacks and dupes because this is related to the bans.

I think that only the classic key is banned, but I am not sure. You could always test it out by putting your old expansion key and a new classic key into a MPQ file and using something like D2Loader to see if they are banned or not.

yes good question, if a ban we need to buy again both CD? also im wondering if after 30 days the accounts ill be empty or with all stuff?

Another question: two of my accouts were spared. If I were to use another key and access my spared accounts, would Bnet ban the new key? Thankfully my two mule accounts were spared but I have two mules that weren't permed yet.

If your accounts where spared you were not IP banned (or had all your account deleted that were being logged into by your IP).

To be safe, I would be carefull about using the same expanssion key to access your mules that had that expans key as well as a bad classic key. Just looking at that, Bnet can know that it is you. (If they would take action however is a dif story and I am not sure)

If you're a first offender, it's only your classic key that is banned. If you've been banned for 30 days before for hacks, go buy a whole new classic/lod set.

I know it's the classic key because I just went to Target and bought d2 classic. I'm playing now

This was my first offence so I should access my spared accounts around the end of August.

I think I'm gonna play it safe and have a friend reset the timer until I get on.

Accounts are either closed or not. Keys are banned for 30 days after first offense and permanently banned after that.

Two my accounts come up with "your account has been closed [8]" message box so I know those are gone. I don't get that mesage with my two other accounts but instead get the "Your CD key has been restricted for realm play blah blah blah".

So your account is poof.

All accounts are permenently banned. CD-Key's are disabled for 30days (IF) It was your first offence. If it was your second offence, the CD-Key has been banned permenently.
