Alright, I think I've sort of backed myself into a corner, and I can't get out of it without hurting somebody's feelings; here's the story
About 3 weeks ago I started talking to a friend of a friend over myspace, sure enough we all go and hang out once or twice. As always I try to be nice, polite, etc etc. This girl's name is Crystal. Anyways, I am also close friends with this other girl named April.
April and I go way back, I've always liked her but she's made it clear that we are just friends which I'm ok with. She'll slip off my radar for months at a time when she has a boyfriend, and then she suddenly pops back into my life when she is single. As in, she wants go hang out at bars, pick her up from work, whatever. Just friends. Or so I thought.
But back to Crystal, who is very low-maintence, very cool, manages a movie theater where I can go catch flicks on the bigscreen for free. She comes over from time to time and is all over me, and I suppose it's partially my fault for caving in and sleeping with her. This wouldn't be a problem, but April three days ago comes to me and gives me this huge 'wanting to settle down' 'find a nice guy' 'we've been friends so long' speech I can see where this is going. So I have my sights set on April.
The next day Crystal leaves me a message on myspace .. Something along the line of "Do you like me, as in, I know we are friends but I think I want to be more" something like that. I honestly don't want to go steady with Crystal, but I know she's going to be mortified if I just say no. I guess what I need to know is the easiest way to let down a girl?

i'd date both, but thats just me...i wouldnt lie about it though. you'd be surprised what you can get away with if you be a man about it and the girl is attracted to you

I guess the whole 'is it true' makes me think someone else said something to her, and I'd like to smack that someone.

but really, idk pick the one you like the most. and if its crystal then just tell april that you were friends so long and she didn't make a move that you couldn't wait for her blah blah blah and you found crystal.

I agree with blood here. Enjoy yourself, go for both and if one falls through you have the other. Sort of funny

If I was you, id go with April, since you've been freinds so long, and whatnot, you would just automatically know that you would have less a chance to lose her, (not at all either) , and know that she would most likely stay by you the longest, I mean, if your old enough to settle down, then go for it, but I guess this is your choice, should you be with the girl you've known all your life (or agood part of it) or the girl you just met recently on a myspace site lol. If I was you, I've seen many relations be the best with people who have known each other a long time, but do what ya want man, and no doubt screw them both while ya @ it =P

this reminds me of a little conversation i was havin with 2 of my friends
i tell my friend "hey man u should let ur hair grow longer, girls like that"
he says "well some do but others like short hair, and its like 50/50"
so then my other friend, which is a girl, pops out of nowhere and says : Well u just gotta chose which 50% of girls is hotter
lol well anyway, pick whichever is hotter!

no no dont listen to these people dont date april....tell here: "Iv always been interseted but you never were...and now its too late :\ im sorry i hope it wont ruin our frienship after all these years" and date crystal cuz she sounds like shes funner but you know w/e follow your heart ( wow taht was gay...said taht to a completley strang *man* iv never met  lol)
