Image.nrg ????
#1
Hey, as none of you know (I did post on this earlier at the D2 hacking forums), I left my gaming case at home (doh!) when I moved up to college.

I was over at my friends apartment and he mentioned that he played starcraft for the first time in 3 years. His 2 brothers said that they were interested in playing as well. They all have the game with separate keys, but I left my darn CD at home. I DO have the game, and I DO have my own key, its just at home... so them being the generous guys they are, burned me a CD, so we could all play together like the good old days in middle school and highschool.

However, its a 650 mb 'Image.nrg'.

When I first saw it, I thought "Oh cool, I know how to use Daemon tools to mount images to a virtual drive". I just forgot its an .img that can do that, not an .nrg.

Is there anything I can do with this file?

I would prefer to be able to use this and get the game working BEFORE I get diablo 2, because as soon as I get that game, Im going to be hitting the ground running back to the diablo world, probably never looking back to starcraft.

Any help guys?

*.nrg file type=Nero CD image file. Image of a CD or DVD taken by Nero, which in turn can be used to create a new duplicate CD or DVD.
Piece of cake just burn it to a cd.

Well, I only have this one disk... I moved the .nrg to my desktop. Can I clean the disk and just use that? Doesnt make much sense how he burned me a copy from the SC CD and it created an .nrg, and Im using the same software to turn that .nrg to a copy of the game... why wouldnt it have done that in the first place?

Probably he maked an image of the sc cd maybe because he choosed wrong option like when you save a picture to gif or jpeg. Why don't you use nero, make the cd and tell us what happens?

WRONG
EDIT
The newest version of daemon tools can mount nrg images to virtual drives.Make sure you have the latest version...

Np I didn't see daemon tools could mount nrg images until I said that I must try it out. And it could. Have fun.
