There was no plans for a reset when that thread was started, things have changed since then for sure.

they have to reset ladder lol, this is bs imo. and did you read that thread, about every post after the first was spam.

Pretty good post in that thread:
I have two guess's on when Ladder Season 4 will start: September 8th, 2006 or January 8th, 2007. My first guess is that Ladder Season 4 will start September 8th, 2006. The reason being is because of the pattern of the last two Ladder Season start's. Ladder Season 2 started July 8th, 2004. Ladder Season 3 started August 8th, 2005(one month ahead of Ladder Season 2's start date of July 8th). (My guess) Ladder season 4 will start September 8th, 2006(one month ahead of Ladder Season 3's start date of August 8th). It's a pattern of one month ahead of the previous Ladder Reset. My second guess is that Ladder Season 4 will start January 8th, 2007. Ladder Season 1 started October 28th, 2003 and lasted until July 8th, 2004(9 month's). Ladder Season 2 started July 8th, 2004 and lasted until August 8th, 2005(13 month's). Ladder Season 3 started August 8th, 2005 and is still going to this date August 7th, 2006(12 month's). The pattern here is 4 month's ahead(Ladder Season 1 lasted 9 month's, Ladder Season 2 lasted 13 month's, (My guess) Ladder Season 3 will last 17 month's(August 8th, 2005 - January 8th, 2007). This guess might be more obvious as far as NickJS sticky goes of Diablo II Suggestions/Concerns (Part 1 and 2) in Diablo II General Discussion. This would allow Blizzard/Battle.net to take all of the D2 player's Suggestions/Concerns and make a new Patch(1.12) that would be ready for January 8th, 2007 to come out along with the start of Ladder Season 4.

it doesn't say that there won't be a reset it says at the moment there is no reset and they will announce if and when they do reset

will blizzard/battlenet do a sweep for duped items on either/both non-ladder/ladder before a reset? maybe to filter out duped ladder items from getting to non-ladder?

Wow? No one read the post? It means no reset until there is a entry on the 2 main sites battle.net and blizzard.com. Meaning that there will be one, but won't be one until they say they will have one.

im really really really lost right now. ive heard its gonna reset on basically everyday this month, what i learned today - dont believe ppl on d2.

well.....im thinkin this time they will probably reset the ladder without a patch. blizzard apparently has bigger things goin then it has durin the last 2 ladder resets/patches (WoW...enuf said..) and even then it seemed like they would never reset it. i honestly doubt a patch is coming this year, a ladder reset i would bet on this year but ...patch...no. HOPEFULLY...but no lol

maybe they'll just send out a patch to all the fix bugs but not add something like ubers. i think they should make cows give more exp again lol. because you can't bot cows(i think) like baal and cows used to be fun way back when. though they would need to be stronger because anyone can pwn cows the way they are now.
