Is Ladder Better?

This may sound like a noobish question but i was bored and i started wonder... What is the diffrence between ladder? Alot of people on these fromus like to play ladder so will someone please explain to me whats better about ladder.

Ladder only Runewords for one thing. Also, all runes can be added to the cube (three at a time) to make a higher up rune. El-Ort can be put into the cube on non-ladder.

I'm sure there are other reasons along with the above mentioned.

its better to bot on ladder cause i get crap on non but yeah its ncie to start on ladder because with a couple of hi runes you can get some good runewords and when ladder restarts you can sell em for alot more then what u paid and make a huge profit

theres just no challenge in non-ladder. many enjoy starting over each time the ladder resets. some want to be the first to 99 others want to be the first to mf that tyraels or whatever. me personally i just dont like knowing that other people have used the same chars/setup for years. which is why i enjoy fuggin around on the ladder

Alright i might make a char on ladder then to see how it is, but one more question is ladder like hardcore when you die you lose all your gear or is it infinite lives?

Basically, you can only be on the "ladder rankings" if you play with a ladder char. Also when ladder resets, all ladder chars are automatically switched to nonladder. Some people play part-time ladder just for the profit on nonladder when ladder resets. Because of special items and runewords and other benifits on ladder, people play ladder so that they can sell off the stuff when ladder resets. It might also be bothersome for people with really good chars on ladder to be starting from 0 when ladder resets. Sorry for repeating what other people kinda said. Just wanted to create a bit of a summery of all the info in a formal manner. Btw good luck on making a ladder char.

ladder is better in my opion and i just started a week ago...but the only problem see with ladder that makes nonladder better is the fact the ladder is WAT TO EXPESIVE... someone out of the blue on nonladder gave me a botd, gaze, and soul drainers* not dupe either* and i cant get neone to gve me a ort or sol rune to make that one runeword in that 2 sock. helm

personally, i havent played on ladder since the very first ladder season and i only played 1 char to level 40ish i think. i dunno why i havent tried it more but as youve said being around the forums has made me appreciate all the advantages. i will definitely be starting up on ladder, but not until the reset since it is apparently coming soon...

None, I'm sure blizzard has a set date, but will not announce it until the date gets close. Unless there wont be a reset.

it doesnt really matter to me cuz i dont play enough to get my dudes on ladder. but it would be nice to not see a lvl 99 on the game for ounce in a while. plus i would like to play again soon

ladder is best i believe for the rare items that only drop on ladder i trrade keys for good stuff on ladder cause my smiter cant do ubers ladder lol
