More Planets Found!!!

yes.interesting Wrote:Quite retarded. Not all religions state that living organisms can exist only on earth. For example, Buddhism and Hinduism don't state that earthlings are the only living things. Plus, we've already discovered life on Mars in the frozen rivers... They're just not alive now, but they once were. So, is religion disproved? No. Shut the **** up.

Haha tough guy keep on cussing.

My fault for being broad. Whenever I refer to religion, Im talking about anything that has to do with the Bible.

Yes. Shut the **** up.

Read the second sentence you quoted me on. Idiot. Stop trying to be the forum genius, everyone knows the little bitty shiny dot-like things are stars and we don't need multiple visuals of it.

Also to add to the news, today astronomers voted to take off pluto from the planets list and pluto will join another 8 planets in what they called "plutons" I really didn't listen but I know for a fact Pluto is no longer a planet

well see they think pluto is a planet for a few reasons... all of the DENSE planets the heavier ones are near the sun becuase they couldnt get blown away far enough when the Nebular theary happened... so all the light particles ( gas giants) got blown away farther... but Pluto ehh its solid ice and why is it the farthest? its possibly a moon guys... its small and well wtf is it doing out there! its just my opinion thats why they took it down from the planet spot

I have to agree on a few points here in certain aspects.
Pluto is indeed small...much less size and mass than a few of Saturns moons.
However being disvovered and deemed a Planet.we are much like *old crones* that favor a well worn pair of shoes.
The methods that discovered Pluto (in a base ,rudimentary way),have also discovered these new heavenly bodies.

My question to you all is this...and please think before you reply.
As I am not interested in glib,or flippant replies.(Get the dictionary out if these words confuse you)

Is the importance of discovery, greater than petty squabbles?
Do we really care who gets the credit,or to what status this discovery is assigned?
Personally I think that discovering, exploring, learning, reaching out to what we can not yet grasp...is worthy.
Maybe one fine day we will be able to veiw these wonders up close and in person.
Until then ...I applaud all the effort and lives spent in advancing our knowledge.

I just hope to be worthy of the many hours and money spent...let us NOT forget lives lost...in this effort to understand better the universe that surround us.

I am sorry to have written a book ~blush~
