PS3 60gb
#1
So im thinking of getting a ps3. mainly since the 60gb is the money shot with the better emulator and 100% backwards compatibility. Only downside is i'll have to order it online or buy a semi used on locally. So im looking for input from anyone who already owns one or anyone who has researched it. Basically i'll be buying it for $400-500. Also I'm not concerned about the HD format war. They both are similar and LG sells a player that plays both formats.

Look right now Xbox360 is better but over its last console reign sony has always proven they have what it takes to continue making great games until the very end of their consoles.

You take the first ps2 game and then come to god of war 2 there is just a massive difference between the two.

The games now for PS3 have better graphics and also from a HD stand point you will get the full experience on a full 1080 hd plasma/lcd.

Thats why in the end I went for a ps3.

Oh ya I guess I did forget to mention the 65" TV that comes in tomorrow. 1080 compliance n all. Wink

Well I have two options.
1- 60GB console with Tiger Woods 08 and Buckhunter for $400
2- 60gb console with Ridgeracer7, Guitar Hero3 with guitar, BlueRay remote for $500
3- If the guy even writes back a used 60gb console with a game n controller for $340 but he lives 2-3 hours away. Not sure if the drive is worth the savings at $3.06/87 octane.

Well I have never had a wireless controller so that maks sense on the remote part. Well I visted both parites selling in town and #2 won my money. It was faily new with only a few hours played on it. The guy just works alot and is also in a band so that takes up a lot of his time too. I talked him down to $450 so I think everyone was happy. Also included was a pretty nice $100 hdmi cable. i think its a monster 12 ft. It's all still packed up since I have been decorating my home ( 1st one of my own ) and shopping for my other half since she took some time off of work to get things done. I'll make a thread soon to let you all know my thoughts n stuff on it.

Cheers
