Can I use S-VIDEO OUT on my graphics card to my TV to use my TV as a monitor? If so, how? I know how to do it on laptops, just not computers. Help? =D

i remember in school, they used to do that all the time. it's definantly possible, you may just need a few special things or cables.

I use s-video from Laptop to TV, but still use my laptop for sound. (External speakers with sub anyhow. which I place near the TV.

You can ebay 15m svideo cords for the price they try and charge you for 1.5m in a store.

in the properties of the video card, set it to dual and it should work on monitor and tv.

ive got a graphics card with the s-video out, if your going to use tv as a primary source of using the computer i suggest having flat pannel tv or something with alot of pixles because on my tube tv the words are all blurry and its a pain on the eyes, so i only use it to watch shows/anime.

S-Video Costs bugger all. 10m one on Australian E-Bay for $18. I got a 15m one last year for $10. So thats probably $7USD.

Why do you need to hook your computer up to your T.V in the first place?
Thats just a waste of time and a waste of cords

It saves money if anything. I have an external sata Nexstar drive 320gb almost full of movies. Much easier to play them on the comp through the TV than spending 1 hour converting xvid to dvd times XXX movies.

Think of the computer as the DVD player hooked up to your TV. It's logical. All your movies easily selectable instead of sifting through 100'ds of DVD's finding the movie you want to watch. I don't use a DVD player anymore, just my laptop hooked upto the TV.
