It depends, they have payment plans/methods.
Instead of asking US, why dont you go to their official site and read? Anyway, regularly its $15 for a month. I pay $78 for 6 months. . . . at ease, i puff trees till i look chinese

I'd suggest you find one of the 2-week free trial things and test out the game first before you decide if you wish to purchase the game and pay monthly for it.
This way you get to not only get 2 weeks free, but you'll also be able to get your feet wet into the world of WoW (is that redundant? oh well) and start to know how the game works and what some of the terms may mean, and just why in general this game is such a craze and has been give the nickname "WarCrack." I myself decided to give in after getting a 2-week free trial to the game that came with the demo disc of last month's PC Gamer (technically the October issue, but the Nov one is out now so that would make the Oct one "last month's issue"), and I now stand at a lv. 14 Human Rogue (in the Gnomeregan server, I think) after 2 days - 12 days left in the trial and I'm done with WoW. It's very addictive, and it's a pretty fun game, but I just really don't wish to pay for it. ![]()

People are always after me to start WoW. and I think I may try it.
I am a FFXI nut and still have many plans there. Friends want me to start WoW and seem to think I would do well. This remains to be seen. I have a feeling me and my friend will spend a lot of our time keeping his Dad alive.Even not knowing WoW I know Mobs...so at least this is an advantage. You do not make it to level 75 in FFXI with several jobs and learn nothing.
