This section is meant as a reference for evaluating items. Read the following carefully before making any assumptions:

All items are listed with a certain value (trade value index -TVI) which can be thought of as a "price". These values however are only meant as a reference when comparing two items, not as a reflection of the current Diablo 2 - LOD economy. Therefore:

• The TVI is not based on the current state of supply and demand on any given realm (Euro, Asia, US)
  
• The TVI is not based purely on item availability (or rather rarity/drop rate)
  
• The TVI will not take into account duping/cheating or other game exploitation's
  
• The TVI is primarily based on how valuable items are in relation to each other, thus a unique ring with +2 to all skills (and no other mods) will be more valuable than a +1 to all skills (and no other mods) ring, disregarding drop rates, requirements etc.

The above statements present a lot of questions and possible shortcomings, but this is about the only way to create a reference for comparing different items values to each other. The current Diablo 2 - LOD economy is based on items being appraised in SOJ's (Stone of Jordan) which leaves a lot to be desired, among other things is the difficulty of setting a price tag on an item that is worth less than one SOJ. Also, since SOJ's are so rare as of the current patch of 1.09, theyre not very useful to the more casual traders.

Just imagine being able to look up a site when making a trade to see how fair a deal really is. Just how good are you off when trading a pair of Frostburn for some Magefists? Or what exactly can you get for your perfect Vampire Gaze? This section will try to lend a helping hand in determining exactly that, as well as looking at some items which are a bit more difficult to appraise, such as charms, jewels and runes.

This list will be updated regularly and the first few drafts might be somewhat inaccurate and incomplete, so check back for updates. If some of the items have variable mods they will be listed twice (listing both extremes), because their value will vary accordingly. As an example a Blade of Ali Baba can have Damage Enhanced 60 to 120% thus making a perfect one more valuable than the 60% one. Use your common sense and the two listed values to determine anything in between the two extremes.

The value of chipped gems is not the same as that of perfect ones by a mistake. Chipped gems are used in the "magic sword + 3 chipped gems" Horadric cube recipe thus driving their value up. The drop rate for any gems of between chiped and perfect qualities is much higher than the drop rate of chipped gems alone, which explains the above values. The reason for Topazes and Diamonds having a higher value than the rest of the gems is because of the use of Topazes for magic find purposes and Diamonds for resistance pumping, which increases the demand for these two types. Perfect Skulls have the lowest drop rate of the bunch thus increasing their value when compared with other gem types.

Eh, probably not.

It's missing several items (runewords?), and the values shift all the time so you can't just put the numbers in writing and expect it to stay that way, and seeing as how it came from Planet Diablo and subsequently probably has not been updated in years, I'd say all of it is garbage.
