Yup, after making only Pallys and Sorc, I decided to break tradition and go with a zon, a bowzon to be precise. The trouble is that I'm not too familiar with this build and am appealing to your expertise.
I'm looking to build a good zon, money isn't an issue. This zon has to have some hooked up dmg. I'm playing non-ladder, so no ladder RWs (another reason to play ladder) and this zon will be a PvM.
So what skills / items should I invest in?
(Also, I was thinking of making a java but figured bows are more powerful and easier in hell [no lighting immunes to deal with]. What's your take on that too?)

pvm zons are javazons with cs and infinity. pvm Bowzons officially died with the arrival of 1.10

All right, I'll build a CS Java then. The guild here is good except that it points to specfic ladder-only items. So instead of Griffon's, IDK Shako maybe (lol). And for wep maybe Titans?

you'd still have to buy things like infinity for the merc though wouldn't you? just make a bowazon and go out-on-a-limb and buy a faith?

You said that money isn't an issue. Why don't you just buy ladder RWs on NL? Seems more than logical to me.

As far as the choice of bows its all about how you usually play. My zon has a Faith just because sometimes I play only with me and my buddy who has Windforce. If you usually play in groups though there is almost always a pally with an aura fos extra damage. Just my two cents...
