#1
One of the substitutes at my school told me to go fire for battlegrounds and raids.

SO I went fire, but I am not sure in what order to level my skills and whgat skills in other trees to invest in

any tips? as of now I am lvl 15 and it always takes me forever to decide what to put my talents in.

I think shadow is the best for leveling. So you want to go shadow while soloing/leveling. After you reach 60, then you untrain and go fire.

there is no shadow mage...ice is great for solo leveling. if your intent on going fire, idk, i dont think it really matters what order you put stuff in.

If you want to level with fire, I'd go for this:

When you reach 60 and still want to keep the fire specc, go for this:

Ignite is not that important under level 60, because you have a low chance to crit with spells and your +spelldamage is quite low, so I'd put the points into Improved Fire Blast and Burning Soul, cause I think nothing is more annoying than spell interuptions. Improved Fire Blast is just there to fill everything up.

As Bloodangel already said, I can't say that a fire spec is good for solo leveling. An ice spec is much better in my opinion because you can take on huge masses of mobs. Activate Ice Barrier, pull ~10 mobs with the same level as you are, frost nova them, blink away, cast flamestrike, then cone of cold and two or three arcane explosions as a finisher. With that, you'll be able to level from 40-60 very very fast. But at the end, you choose. Anyways, if you want to try out an ice spec, here's my favourite version:

I'd use Arcane Resilence and Improved Manashield, because like I already mentioned above, you'll be able to farm massive amounts of mobs. More armor and less mana drained from mana shield raises your chances to survive if you unfortunately take more damage then you thought. In the frost tree, you could also use Elemental Precision instead of frostbite. This is where it comes to your personal way of playing. If you hit 60 and go to raid instanced like Molten Core, Blackwing Lair etc., I'd suggest to take the points out of Frostbite (or Elemental Precision, depens on what you used) and put them into Frost channeling. With that, you won't aggro that easy and you'll be able to keep casting for a longer time. Another option to improve your mana use is to put the two points out of Improved Manashield into Arcane Meditation. With that and Mage Armor, you'll be able to have 25% regenartion of the normal regeneration while casting.

I hope, that it was not too confusing. Hopefully this helps you Smile

//Edit

Oh, forgot to say: Many bosses in BWL and MC are immune to fire, but a fire spec is much better when it comes to Naxxramas and AQ40.

My Current PVE Fire Build:
Wowhead Talent Calculator

The best leveling builds for fire (Great for PvP as well):
With this build, you're getting the best of fire grinding, AND Presence of mind, definitley the choice i'd take, but a lot of people like Arcane Power
Wowhead Talent Calculator

With This one below, you get Arcane power as you can see, really comes in handy now.

What you'll most likely spec into at 60 for leet MC and BWL DPS:

A good PvP frost build:

Frost owns pvp IMO, but whatever playstyle you like best is up to you. Your build will scale with +DMG so the more you get the better you are.

A little gear overview:
Frost = AS MUCH +DMG AND +%HIT AS POSSIBLE (Easy Enough)

Fire = Gets a little more complicated, you're going to want to maintain a good amount of +DMG while having a good amount of crit and a good ammount of -resistance. This is pretty tough to accomplish pre BWL and AQ40, this shouldn't be a problem seeing as you wont be speccing fire most likely for pve untill your guild hits BWL far status and goes into AQ40.

Any Questions you may have, feel free to ask.
