ok wake up ppl, there is no possible way to actually "hack" an account, not including bruteforce or a program similar to it, the only way an account can be stolen is if you have a keylogger of somekind or ur just an idiot and get bruteforced

complaining anything to blizzard is useless. they really dont care to put it bluntly. u know how easy it is to pretend you got hacked? even faking screenshots is nothing. there is really no way to prove you REALLY did get hacked so there is NO way that they will help u at all. if anything they will tell you its your fault if u got hacked (which...very rarely is it not) and tell u to stop being stupid.

i know this because i "hacked" or scammed a few ppl back in the day and alot of times id let them come back into the game where i scammed them and they complain and bitch about it and tell me im going to be banned cuz they have screenshots of me. well....i never got banned and i never hid anything so obviously it doesnt work.

if i ever worked the /dnd scam and that person didnt have anything on them, id store the password and get on a month or 2 later and keep checking what they have. once they get better...then i take what i want haha. mayb thats what happened to you?

ok first of all
bruteforce does NOT ALWAYS take ages.
If ur password is longer than 9 characters (combination of number/letters/caps letters/shift symbols) then it probably will take ages.
IF ur password is under 9 characters and like.. all letters, it will take a while but not ages

Now im pretty sure its not a bruteforce, because like i said it does take a while to bruteforce (especially when u have to switch proxies and shit etc etc) so count that out
Some of you idiots say "he ccant just hack ur account like that" Well smarty pants, who ever said he hacked it "just like that"? for all u know it took him countless hours of coding and code analysing to find a flaw in d2, and finally be able to.
If we knew what it was, we would be doing it wouldnt we? so stfu and stop trying to figure out what it is unless u know what it is or unless u actually know wtf ur talkin about.

also, why do u turn off ur firewall to play d2? u can configure most firewalls ot allow d2 to access the internet, just do that and u can play safe.

Try getting AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition from Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com and from a torrent, get ZoneAlarm Pro. I use these 2 and it works great, no problems with D2 and any other program. Also, they both use low memory and ZA includes anti-spyware so yea, good to have those 2.

I have Kaspersky and it wont let me, every time diablo tries to connect it opens a pop up asking conformation (wheter i tell it to always let it or not) and then it crashes diablo...

lol well...having your key in use doesnt mean a damn thing, ur cdkey is not tied to your account in any way. u can log into your account from multiple computers (or even 2 applications on the same computer) very easily.

i know this because ive done it before. occasionally if u want to waste the time u can find a retard to fall for the /dnd trick. u dont even have to change their password once ur in, just strip the chars and your done.

notice the "?" after the Cd-key part. wasn't sure but, thanks for clearing that up.

also, lemon, did you get his char name? or account name? maybe it's the same guy that jacked L4E's friend's acccounts?

Do any of the mods know of any software that will do this? obviously it's available to everyone or closed bnet would be more of a disaster then it already is.

Just ot add my oppinion on this i think it's true, why you ask, beacuse it happen's my very good friend in real life had this happen to her she was in a game and some guy just comes in the game and say's afk, than she got kicked off her account and then whent to log back in and pw was changed. so it's not BS it's true like it or not....

I will not dismiss it, but considering all password traffic is server side (no hash on your computer), and considering the person did it in under 10 seconds, I am going to label this as HIGHLY improbable. (Unless of course he keylogged you a long time ago, but according to his story he just joined a random game.)
