Need Help Computer Parts!!!
#1
So i play WoW again because the game is like crack and i need to put together a new comp to start raiding again since i sold my other one off and i am wondering what type of parts to get....

I was thinking about buying a 4 slot (4 the ram) motherboard but dont know what type of brand to go......

Also with the motherboard i am getting an Amd 3000 plus 64 processer.....is that good enough to run WoW with and if not what size should i go with such as 3200...3500...

I have 1 gig atm in my old comp that i am gonna swap out onto the new motherboard....You think thats enough also?

Also what graphics card should i go with...I dont wanna spend a shit load of money on it about $140-150 is all i think i will spend.

I am useing my old hard drive cause its pretty new and getting a brand new case also

Give me some opinions plz Smile

wow requires VERY little from a computer a 3000+ should be plenty. you dont really need a 4 slot motherboard and 1 gig of ram is enough. for a graphics card im not really sure cuz cheapies get you junk, you get what you pay for.

foxcon and dpi make good boards and have steady speeds when it comes to lan play and mmporg play. as for memory, as long as its ddr or ddr2 a gig will cover it unless you plan on using windows vista. then you'll want something higher than the amd 3000+ and between 2-4 gigs of ddr2 ram. some of the newer games require shaders and 8-bit settings so you may think about ati

Almost any computer you buy right now in computer stores will be able to support Wow. So don't worry too much about it if you only want to play that certain game.

Well First off if your looking at building a Comp For gamming

Ram is better then cpu and Video Is going to help you more than anything
Normaly if your going to spend alot of money and build a monster go with as much as u can get or just get the min on what u need

Motherbourd should not have to be anything Wonderfull just somthing that can support "Gigabite" is a good brand im running there 6700

Stay away from ddr2 unless u wanna spend then money then u have to get a bourd just for that. with is kinda pointless and 3.4ghz amd is going to put a hole in your pockit just go for the 3.0 its about $100 cheaper and runs Fine

Now This is were you wanna put your money to good RAM RAM RAM RAM most ppl think its all about your cpu speed but its not! Im a A+ tech for Pc solution and there N+ . I deal with this stuff all day.

The more you got the better
#2Ram If your not going to spend alot of money on Video Go with Nvida gforce 6800 they got a 7800 out but the 6800 is 128 shared and only running 75-100 bucks so if you get 2 gig ram share it to Video you can pop that gforce to a 512 and still have 1.7 ram running a 3.0 your going to Fly! This set up is very cheep only running 400 bucks.

Also gigabite bourds support sata Drives.

Hope this helps you Newegg.com - Buy Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! has the cheapest around
