That guy is a ****ing retard. He tries to come off as intelligent and open and then goes on to bash metalheads for "their narrow-headedness". Can I smell the irony? What a ****ing ****.

edit: before I just read the article mid-way through, but now I started from the beginning. A.D. if you agree with that guy, you are an utter ****ing idiot, to say the least, as much as the author of that article is.

Perhaps you should open your eyes a little bit. Not every metalhead paints his face or holds crosses upside down. Who gives a shit about that. I call myself a metalhead, because 99% of the music that I listen to is metal. I haven't bought a metal T-shirt ever since I was like 12. I go to concerts not to look tough or dress up, but because I enjoy the music.

Maybe that's just one thing that you, and the author of the article are too dumb to understand, that not all metal fans are the same. Not all metal is the same. In fact, stop giving a shit about little things such as peoples taste in music, and above all, stop judging people because of their musical taste.

Could I possibly make it any simpler for you?

Please dumb it down more for the average guy who doesn't understand the intricacies of metal.

Frater, if you read any of his past articles you know that he does this to pretty much every genre of music and he really only does this to get a rise out of his readers who take it personally.

Evidently you took it personally enough compose a long scathing rebuttal which I pretty much expected, it seems the internet holds the highest popluation of like-minded metalheads who take every jab against their musical taste an affont to their entire being. Yeah, I have a favorite Metallica song. My favorite band is Soundgarden (Wtf is that anyways? Metal? Grunge?). But I cannot stand the geeks who gush about IM, Pantera, or anything like that. Norweigan deathmetal with an orchestra in the background? I don't know whether to laugh or throw up a little.

Not once did I take this article offensively. It's like a little baby insulting you, would you take that seriously? I just took the opportunity to point out the fact that you are indeed an idiot if you agree with any parts of his article.
Additionally, I don't give a shit about what you listen to, or what your favourite band is. Why should I? Oh, so I can get a better picture of you as a person? Go and sit in the corner and think. Think really hard why that presumption is retarded. Good luck.

To that end I find it amusing you are still picking clean my posts, working in your own little insults etc. You don't give a shit about me, but you can't stop posting... I do ignore most of the posts in this forum, but I just couldn't believe that you could possibly be serious about this. I don't necessarily think that you're a half-wit, but by agreeing with this guy, you are presenting yourself as one. His article contains some of the most retarded arguments that I've ever read, therefore I can't possibly resist calling someone a retard by agreeing with him. In fact, I was actually interested in your view on the article and why you agree with it.

Let me tell you something, You can't base an origin of music based on other peoples actions. If that were true then i could say that rappers are dumb black people who have techno beats with lyrics that dont stand for shit. I could say country people only talk about there tractors and farm animals. I could say emo people only slit there wrists and want to end there life. Metal heads are no different then someone else. So what if they like melodical music. You probally dont know what melodical means, but anyway. Leave metalheads alone just because there music isnt your style
