if you get the x1600pro make sure its not ddr2 or gddr2 make sure its gddr3ram on it. as for your processor make sure its a Core 2 duo and not justa dual core pentium the conroe based chips are much more powerful per $ and are coming down in price fast.
But if you not going to and your just gona get a dual core pentium i suggest you look at amd's they perform much better then all the intel chips except thre conroe chips.
Another thing ddr2 ram for motherboards makes no real diffrence on computers my ddr memory outperforms ddr2 in a lot of benchmarks.
ddr is cheaper then ddr2 but if u still feel you need it get a am2 based amd processor like the 3800+ x2 it's much more powerful thent he CPU im guessing your gona get and it supports ddr2
