I duped, now I have questions

OK so I successfully duped for the first time tonight , but I have a few questions.

1. It took me about 40 minutes to get to the point where I could join a second game. I was only using one necro and one sorc, how much faster do multiple necros/sorcs make it?

2. Has anyone ever gotten banned for doing this? I don't care about IP bans, but I would care about my CD key and I would mourn the loss of my account. Should I just get a level 20 necro on some random account? And I've heard they ban they CD key the account was made with, I could probably find someone to mule trade with and just keep the mule.

3. And about items poofing, I know that two dupes from the same original on the same character will poof, but what about organsets? Could I get an entire account of organsets all originating from the same original organset?


I think some of these questions can only be answered with myths, but I will definately be wary of everything you warn me of. smartass2

organsets do not have id tags, so do keys, gems and others

-multiple necros/sorcs will make it faster, alot faster. But it also increases your chance to lag out of the game.

-I have never heard of anyone getting banned. It is blizzards fault, the making of the game and the crappy servers. So the game lagged out a little bit, and you were xfering. But somehow you duped?

-You know, people say that this cant happen, but ive tested this about 5-6 times now with organ sets on one character. I try to leave without temp-perming. Come back, the original 3 are the only ones there. You can test this also, maybe im just unlucky with them.

Just make sure to perm in everygame you join with the duped items or chances they will dissapear. Just remember how to perm

1.) Trade with another person
2.) After the trade screen opens up, click the check mark (accept button) and exit out right away AND then exit out of the game right away after

from what i heard organs don't have id tags, therefore no way of blizz tracking them. i know this for sure because i recently just got 44 organ sets from someone, there's a small chance someone could of found all these but highly unlikey, non of the organs has disappeared on me yet... got some nice torchs tho

4. Can you only dupe once per session? I followed Attilitus's method to the word, but someone told me you can just keep joining games with your second character, is this true?

5. I have also heard that the items that are in the laggy game are still perm, anyone ever tested this? I have some good perm items worth duping, but I don't want to do it if my originals have a chance of poofing.


I plan on testing some of this out once I decrease my session time, but I don't want to waste half an hour of straight clicking for an unsuccessful dupe =/

They can ban you for it. Since the Amazon/Cow method was out blizzard is banning everyone who often creates heavy lag. And don't talk shit about "It's their own fault". Sometimes, dupe items accidently are created by lag (rare amulets/rings etc.) and they ban you for it altough you probably didn't even know that you have worn a duped item.

-yes you have a greater chance of lagging out with more characters creating lag. i would suggest 2 necs and 1 sorce b4 1 nec and 2 sorces. im my experience it causes the game to desync faster.

-I am pretty sure that blizz will be able to ban because of this. they can ban in many ways. they can ban the key that made the account or the key that was using the account when they decide to ban. they will most likely close the account. and can do all of the above

- you can only dupe once per session, joining a 3rd game wont work because the second game would also have to be desynced. but you can have all characters in 1st game join second game as soon as it desyncs and someone is in.
but you can do this. have one lag game where 1 nec and 1 sorce lag, and 6 mules. once one of the mules gets in to a second game have the rest of the mules join the second game and all of them will be duping. quite a bit of work, but it does work

- the items in both games are unperm, and yes the originals have a chance of poofing once they have been duped
