I am just gonna use my restore cds :-] problem is restore cds will overwrite my entire hd

If i knew how to take files off a restore cd directly, i woudnt lose all my data.

Plus emachines sent me the wrong restore cds. Gotta wait another 3 days to get new ones.

if ne1 knew about the taking files off directly of a restore cd, greatly appreciated.

when it asks toy to reinstall windows, usally it will assume that you want everything erased. but there are other options. when it asks you what to do, click to repair windows. i have done this before and it does not kill everything, only your windows. google it, i forgot the exact process

If the computer asks you to reinstall Windows, it should just be a repair fix, I think. You would have to format to take out your disk.

Acually, Restore cds will overwrite all my data and re format my whole hd, doesnt have a repair feature.
