ruststorm question

i've heard a few different things.. i know normally duped runes will perm upon being socketed but i've also heard that a ruststorm will delete those runes and sometimes the item too? is this correct? so.. what are my chances of a legit item with 3 duped jewels/runes in it poofing with a ruststorm?

I sure hope not, my CoA has two matching graphic 40-15's in it. And basically that means anyone with a LW is ****ed too.
Maybe Frater was right about LW after all.
