help installing runes

:p hi, long time player offline here, just started the on-line experience. i discovered this site and downloaded a couple runes to finish a word i was workin on. but i'm a little confused on how to install them on my char. i'm no pc genius by any means so a little help would be appreciated, thx

if you play on a realm, then it isnt possible, but if its on open or 'other multiplayer' then download Hero Editor

so is this even possible to do playing in b-net us east?

No if you play closed bnet on any realm, you cant transfer items or use hero editor on your chars.
