Considering that for a countless number of years now we have been promised such things as flying cars and still aren't anywhere near to having them, is it not so logical after all?

Flying cars? Sheesh. I am talking about advancements in Stem Cell therapies which occur everday (Scientists recently used stem cell therapy to grow new teeth in pigs who had lost their own), bio and genetic engineering advancements are constantly discussed in the New York Times (example: The Human Genome was completely mapped on a computer), and in Nanotechnology (Scientists are able to turn off the Fat Receptor gene in Mice, meaning that mice can now eat as much as they want and won't gain excess fat. Results are that they live 20% longer).

So I could care less about flying cars. Besides the introduction of GPS (Global Positioning Satillite) into many different cars, Lexus has a car which parallel parks itself, and Toyota and Nissan are coming up with smart cars that can detect the BAC of a driver when they touch the steering wheel, preventing intoxicated people from starting cars. I find both of these advancements impressive enough.
