Merc's and life/mana steal????

Noob question alert !!! :o


I put a bow on my merc that has a +3 to mana after each kill and i noticed all the mana went to me. Is this true for leeching too? I figured it would go to the merc's stats. Can someone explain this? What other modifiers does the merc's give to you? Thanks in advance,

I know that I dont get the life leech from my merc, he still gets the life. So it may just apply to mana.

umm yeah merc's has no vitality or energy, and they use no mana so it would go to you but only mana does
