some guy asked me if i wanted to join his clan etc.. so i get into the game and he wants to know my rank.. so he says type in /dnd rank - accname + pass. ofcourse i didnt do this so im jus wondering what kinda scam is this? what does it do? my friend asked in a channel while i was in the game, and all screamed scam..

dnd = do not disturb, so when u type it he sends u a message and it gives him ur acct, dont do it

and he will see rank- YOURACCOUNT NAME YOUR PASSWORD

It's an old scam.

The /dnd feature is "do not disturb". It makes it so when someone whispers you, you don't hear it (hence do not disturb) and they get your do not disturb message. You set the message with /dnd _______(text here)______. So when they would whisper you they would get your account name and password.

Whenever someone asks for your pass it's always a scam. Smart of you not to do anything knowing this.

To turn /dnd off I'm pretty sure all you do is type in /dnd again. If not, just log in again.

Clans on d2 are quite useless, being a solo guy with some friends is alot better. (My cousin and i got scammed by our clan in 1.09 loss a whole account of gg chars with full inventory and stash hexes and wfs)
