fire/lite resis??? (smiter)

I see a couple of persons say that you should put skills in fire/lite resis with a smiter paly...But I dont see the point, because using resis aura in pvp is gay / sorb better, Ill explain. You put the resis aura on and you run to the player and when you are on it you have to put it back to fana/smite so it is no longer good, and If the player teleport its the same thing...Well Thanks I have another question too Ill post later

You don't use the aura to hit. Every 1 point in Resist Lightning/Fire/Cold will passively raise your resistance to the element by 1, and every 2 points raise max resistance by 1. So 20 points in Resist Fire mean passive +20 Fire resi and +10 max Fire resi. You don't need to have the aura active.

First of all, if you have max res, your smite can have more than 75 res if u put more skills into resist lite and resist fire auras. That is, if you make your smiter properly with 20/11 scs (20 life, 11 lite res scs). Also, sorb is BM in duels, and makes you out to be a complete noob. Also, I never have problems winning with my res lite aura on. I can desynch a lot of sorcs unless they are hitting the fhr bp beyond 86%.
