This guy put a trojan on the clansite i go to. Now every member in clan can't even go on anything without their passes being stolen. Im running a virus scan right now and 133k files scanned, but no viruses detected. Im using Norton AntiVirus. What should i do about trying to uninstall it?

Honestly, it sucks to hear it but I'd reformat the computer. Once the system has been comprimised it's not worth it to try and fix what's been done. Unless the issue was something common that's an easy fix it's hard to pick out what's been changed and know for damn sure that your system is safe again.
Spybot s&d is good. So is adaware and many other programs like hijackthis.

Well if you know you registry keys well you can find the ones that are infected deleted or changed. other then that i would say reformat, because you will never get out the entire trojan. maybe u can also try a system recovery.

Search smitfraudfix in google...You should get a virus/trojan software...I wouldn't suggest using it if your not good with computers tho.

My personal suggestion would be a reformat. I reformat my system when my ststem is compramissed by a virus or somehing. Common sense is the bes defense again these kinds of things, I have not gotten an infection in over a year or so. It sucks to here about your clans website.
You can do an idiot proof reformat using your Windows XP disc. It will let you wipe your HD and reinstall Windows. You will probably want to back uo any important daaa before you do this.

Would use hijackthis if you know your registry keys well if you know the name of the trojan you can search for it on the net and there might me remover for it or at the very least a list of registry keys you need to remove.
Please vote for us, it takes you 5 seconds.
