First of all, I am not a technical person so I can not give you a specific reason as to why this works. I can only tell you that it does....sometimes. So with that said, let's get it on:

What you need
==========

• Any level Hard Core character. (Character A)
  
• A Barbarian with fully developed BO. (Not Body Odor, Battle Orders (Character B)
  
• Any other character. (Character C)
  
• The end reward of The Golden Bird quest. Don't drink it yet, read the rest of this post.
  
• An inventory full of cool stuff you would like to dupe.

The Setup
======
Timing is critical so pay attention:
Characters A, B and C must all join the same game. Character A will have a full inventory and the elixir. All characters must exit town. Characters A and B will be in a party, C will hostile the party. Character A will drink the elixir. At the same time, Character B will cast BO and C will then kill A. It goes like this:

1) 'A' drink
2) 'B' cast
3) 'C' kill

The Result
=======
If all goes according to plan, you end up with a dead body AND a bunch of shit on the ground. Please note, I do not claim to be a technical expert so anything past this point is speculation on my part.

It is my opinion that casting BO along with drinking the elixir AND having another character kill you at the same time 'confuses' the server as to what your actual status is. I mean, you can't be dead and gaining health at the same time, right? So, the server freaks and you reap the rewards.

Some Hints
=======
It is best to have Character A on the verge of death just prior to attempting this. Character C should be able to conduct a one hit kill on Character A.

Sadly, the items produced will not be permed. Also, if your timing is off, even a little bit, it will not work. Hey, cheaters don't always win

so does character a get permanently killed? or will you lag out the server? or will a black hole open up under character c's feet and suck him in?

most likely char a will get killed, because of this - (char should be a lvl 9)

most likely more than what should be there is dropped, ending you with a bunch of stuff.
oh yeah, for that lower the health tip, just use poison, like a throwing poison pot thing.

i want to try this with orange, but it might be a waste of a lot of chars if the timing is off.

Wow, people have alot of time on there hands figuring this shit out. Sounds like alot of work just to rush someone to act 3 to try n get this to work, it might also be because I'm lazy.

You have got to be one hell of an idiot to believe this. Seriously, how stupid can people get?
First of all, looting someone's corps make you able to take the items he has equiped.
Second of all, you can't "confuse" a computer, and especially not in such a dumb manner. It's like saying "if someone attacks you while drinking a potion, the d2 server will go crazy!!!"
Not to mention it is impossible to do two things at the exact same time (killing + casting bo)
And last but not least, he even implicitly tells you this is bullshit

Aw, you know what that means? every single item you had on that char will be gone! yay!

Actually snarg did post this dupe method..i read it the other day. The thread was close for some reason recently so maybe the method wasn't working
