Nightmare. [I have to tell someone]
#1
For quite a few years around age 7-12 I had a nightmare about twice a month.

There was a huge ball in front of me in a blank white room. From there, I see someone that looked like my father trying to push the ball up, as if he was doing a bench press with it. All I can really remember is him struggling so I joined in tried to help.

The problem was, after I started to help him, he starting pushing the ball up and down at an increasingly faster pace. From then on, I would wake up--my body would be bouncing on the bed as if I just ran out of energy and collapsed on my bed--pouring with sweat--and a extremely fast paced heartbeat.

I would close my eyes in an agonizing way, then eventually open them. With my room completely dark, but a little light coming from the moon, I would see shadows from objects in my room. This scared the hell out of me, so I would hide underneath my covers.

I have also remembered something after I would have that nightmare. Sometimes I would have the feeling as If i was sliding off my bed, unable to control myself, and even up my wall. Like, I would have the visualization of floating off my bed, and with my back against the wall, floating to a non-ending point.

Scary shit.

I haven't had one of those dreams in a while, I don't understand what would prompt me to have such a dream.

And people wonder why I can be afraid of the dark.

maybe your nightmare stems from some traumatic incident in your past, that you dont rembember or possibly represed it, or maybe a fear you have of losing your father, or it could be nothing, im no expert myself.

Well, my father used to fight with my mother every once in a while. Maybe because I was little I was scared.

I used to have a reoccurring dream, not anymore though, where i would be hit by a taxi and slam against the hood of the car. Usually when I was hit my leg, in real life, would jerk or my whole body, trying to protect myself in the dream, and wake me.
It was not very frequent but was reoccurring none the less. I could never find out what caused it though. Even though every time I can remember a dream, which is rare, I can decipher it.

Chances are it is something in your sub-conscious . Maybe something that happened which your mind has removed from your conscious memory or maybe a fear you do not realize you have, like stated above.

Edit:

It could be that you were/are worried that something will happen and, although you want to fix it, you will not be able to help.

Ok I am staying out of that dream,as for the others I would venture to say it is something in the background(so to speak)that is troubling you.
Dreams of falling are common.

Rumor is that if you die in your dream you'll die in your sleep. I used to always think of that as a possibility, realizing how powerful the mind is, but I can say that it is false. I have died, more than once, In my dreams and I'm still alive...At least I think I am.

The nightmare could be spurred by something that you ate, thought about, watched, or even did before going to sleep.
