Making a life decision...
#1
I am trying to decide whether or not to go to JobCorps but first I need to decide on if I want to go all the way to Arizona to do it (I live in KS). I would like to go there and take the CISCO classes and maybe do networking. I can get certified there and I am sure it would get me out of this shithole city (Wichita) but is a huge decision. I would just like to ask the people here what they would do. Input please.

I have been exploring their website more and I have found 2 places to do networking at. I can either go to Moses Lake, WA or Pheonix, AZ. Personally I would rather go to Pheonix.

This is what you do. Go to your local Marine Corps recruiter and say you want to join. then give him my name saying I refered you. THAT is a life changing decision.

Ok ...ignore all the silly replies and I will give you my opinion.

Washington state is beautiful, but cold, wet and rainy.(I have lived there)
Arizona is hot,dry and arid. (I have lived there)

If the programs are the same in each state....choose a climate more conducive to your personal likes.

Is this something you seriously would want to do? Or are you just trying to find a way out of your town? If this is something that interests you then i say go for it. But if you have the slightest doubt on weither or not this is right for you then no dont go.
You said so much without ever parting your lips.

Vouch, then, if you said yes to Tap's question, answer pam's question.

Well to all the people who gave me stupid replies. Go try to stop a bullet with your face.

And Math I am eightteen next week. And would not be doing this until the beginning of next year at least.

CISCO is something I really think I can do and that will get me out of this town. So it is a win-win on both sides for me I think. I am seriously considering it and I believe there are alot of oppurtunities for those who are CISCO certified. I have been talking to all my friends in real life and have discussed it with my mother and everyone has told me to do it if it is something I really want to do.

I have a long time to consider it so it is not a big deal at the moment but it will be in the future.

Your best bet is to finish high school first, how far in are you? Then maybe take some course, get a part time job and apply for a university.

Of course, you could obviously start working straight away and stick to the same low-class, badly-paid job until you rot.

It's up to you.

Well I didn't think my post was silly as I take my Marine Corps very seriously.

Yes I take the Marine Corps seriously Siris, but it is not for me. If we were in a just war I would seriously consider the military as an option, but I am such an opponent of it that it would not be right for me to even be near the military until 2009. I do have the utmost respect for you and your fellow soldiers though.

Thanks for the input all of you though.

I did not mean YOUR post and should have been more specific.I am sorry for that confusion .I only meant he should ignore the stupid ones.

Metal I worked and went to school AND took college classes all at the same time.
I confess I joined the millitary not ONLY because I am a patriot, but as a way to leave home and explore life.
You have ample time to ponder this decision, but consider location carefully.

In the end.....? It is YOUR life, you are exibiting maturity in requesting outside advice and wisdom. Not just making a rash choice on impulse.
