EDIT: If It auto reveals, is it more detectable than you manually doing it?

I suppose that would make sense but I'm currently using stings V2.10 lite and i have always used auto reveal without any bans. As always use at your own risk.

It has been stated already that the only thing on stings that gets you banned is the plugin, this could change soon though.

Or if you run into some REALLY BAD LUCK, and happen to load the maphack, just as a Warden scan is taking place. MY friend has gotten a warning from Blizz, because of the mh, but has not gotten banned.
