i can help here,
i upgraded to Vista from XP just about a month ago so i know how things work.
Think of lite vs full like this: if you want a 'lite' food, you want the taste not the calories. thats how lite mh's work, you only get hwats nessasary, not the extra unsafe crap. so i could say safely that lite would in most,
NOT all cases, is the safer. but that depends on weather or not you want vectors iLVL's and other such utilities found withing stings.
BUT the only reason lite is safer is because of the amount of features. look at it like this::
Lite version: Base safety= 20% chance of detection + vectors (+10%)
Total Chance of Detection= 30%
Full version: Base safety= 20% chance of detection + vectors (+10%) + iLVL's
(+10%). Totoal Chance of Detection= 40%
The base safety includes location of monsters of players and full map reveal.
And also when you get RA3.3 its about 70-80% chance because of the pickit, telepick, pre-item identifying, vector tele-ing. and other features.
And FYI
Vista is NOT worth $1000. all it is is a high def. version of XP, when you look inside the core of vista there are no large scale changes, maybe a few minor like memory allocation and such, the reason i know its just like XP is that, for example, you have a win95 only program, it wont work on win98. and i tested a winXP only program and it worked perfectly on vista, whereas any other "brand new" OS it would not. so if i am correct then you dont need any special hacks or anything, just use the same as anyone else.

Where do you download a safe light version? I haven't seen any updates for stings, so I haven't trusted using it yet..
