PSXeven emulator advice

i've recently dl'd the psx emulator and castlvania SOTN rom
but the game is laggy a bit with choppy music is there any real way to fix that ? or should i just deal with it >>

Where did you get the emulator? What is ti called.

Sometimes you can mess around with the emulators settings, and get it to run smoother. Like try increasing the frame refresh rate (if th emulator has that option) It usually fixes that problem.

it called psxeven and i have been fiddling with it , it's running smoother with the occasional skippy music not i need a reliable keyboard that wont stack inputs lol

Many computers cannot run emulators effectively, expecially for PS2 and Xbox. Xbox in particular is a bitch... If this is for PS1 though, then it should be fine. Tweak the settings and it will run as smooth as it can.

epsxe is the only psx emulator worth while thats still developed
vgs is also a good emulator, but hasnt been updated in years.
use either

epsxe is harder to setup though.

i had panned on using epsxe but when i use it i get the wgl extension error every time i try to run SOTN at least with psxeven i can play it lol
and my comp is shitty as hell >>

epsxe is easy as hell to set up, the only thing I really found confusing was the PEC program lmao, then I read that manual, easy to setup as well, if you need help trying to set up epsxe then pm me, i'll see what I can do. (( Playing Resident evil 1 right now :-P )

u should find and download i think it was called bloom or something i dont remember but the first letter is B that was the best emu that i have used till now for PSX
