Can elite-class items only be dropped in hell mode? I've gone through all of normal and nightmare in single player and haven't found a single elite-class item(anything from normal to unique). I've finally got to hell mode(yay!) but it doesn't make sense that I'll be able to find elite-class items off monsters with a lower lvl just because they're in hell. Nightmare Baal has a lvl of 75 and he doesn't drop elite-class items.

the chances are slim, but elite items can drop in nightmare (never in normal though i think).
ive found shakos and stuff like that in nm alredy, but its rare

im assuming that this is for normal d2, and not median or something like that.
i have found titan's off of normal baal before, but that was like the only uniq ever.

from the Arreat Summit:Elite Weapons and ArmorElite Items have Character Level Limits of 39-73. Elite Armor has added Defense with higher Strength requirements. Elite Weapons have a higher Average Damage with higher Strength and Dexterity requirements. Weapons that give skill points, have higher level skills and spells on these items. There are Socketed, Magic, Rare, Set, Crafted and Unique versions of Elite items. Elite Items first appear late in Nightmare Difficulty and become more common as you get to higher difficulty levels tied to monster levels. Magic Elite Items can be found at the Vendors at higher Character and Difficulty Levels. Rare Elite Items can be gambled.
