The only thing I dont like about linux is the fact that you have to know all the terminal commands. Other than that from a security, visual, and most of all cost standpoint I think it is better than windows. I got vista right now running on a new hp with a amd 5200+ athalon 64X2 with 2 gigs of ram and it is choppy considering the circumstances. Ubuntu with beryl runs well with only like a quarter of the resources on my old computer.

For compatability issues with my external sound card i'm gonna stick with vista. But when I get used to linux i might put it on this one too.
