I went to install Diablo II / LoD, and they both installed fine. However, when I actually went to hit "play game" neither one would play... and no, the CD's aren't scratched or anything like that.

go to your d2 directory. look at the d2 lod icon. if there is no picture, but there are words there that was blizzard north or something like that, then the cd was probably corrupted. it has happened to me, well i was using a burned disc

Reinstall. If you get a successfull install and still can not play from the disc, crack the .exe.

Well, Diablo II (origonal) itself will install and play, but I put in LoD and it says it's installed, but theres no evidence on my computer that it's on, nor when I select "Play Diablo II: LoD" from the pop-up (when entered the CD) but plays the origonal... so how would I go about "cracking" the .exe if thats what need-be?

its recognizing that you already have LOD installed when you dont? try to do as karant suggested. reinstall everything. maybe it sensed that from a different partition.. or the disc could just be corrupted

one option you can do is torrent the d2 exp disk and mount it, and just run it off of that.

Well the Uninstallation worked.. kinda. Now it DOES say "Upgrade to Lord of Destruction" But, now it gets to about 3/4 (total) and I get a message saying "Aborted" and thats it, tried three times and I still get this message.

I guess I spoke too soon, after the fifth try it installed just fine =P

Well that's still left to be determined, I don't have any of DIIS's players ingame names, lol.
