Why reset is delayed

We ran into a slight setback this morning when beginning the reset. The large red button that begins the reset was found to be slightly scratched near the upper-left quadrant, and because of this we are now in the process of replacing the reset button. The new button is promised to be free of blemishes, and to hold a red candy-like glow.

We're anticipating that the installation should be completed this afternoon, at which time all Diablo II realms will be brought down before the button is pushed. Due to the complexity of the inner-workings and procedure in depressing the button, we anticipate it will require approximately four hours to push all the way down.

If you're unable to log in to the realms, or get disconnected, please check the Battle.net Status forum as the reset has likely begun, and more information will be available in that forum.

There is no reason to believe the ladder reset is delayed. Taking a look at Pacific time, it is only about 2pm. Given the servers will be down for 4 hours, they still have plenty of time to shut down the servers. Until then, go for a bike ride or learn to bake a cake - your life isn't over if you aren't #1 spot on the ladder (as a matter of fact, if you are #1 ladder spot you don't have much of a life, do ya?).

No worries Kaze, I'm not speaking to ya on that remark, I'm speaking to the forum and to the D2 nation in general (especially those refreshing the B.net status page every 5 seconds).

Wow Jedi tell us how you really feel. Lolz You have a valid point of the time needed to reach lvl 95+. I think ppl should just have fun with the game and stop taking it so damn seriously tho. So i support your thoughts.

Meeh I waited till about midnight with the King then we went to go duel, I ate a bunch of newbs with this sorc , So after that I Realized there was not going to be a reset soon so I got off diablo2.

All Diablo II realms will be down beginning at approximately 2:00 PM PDT, June 25, until approximately 6:00 PM PDT to perform maintenance related to the Diablo II ladder reset. During this time Diablo II will not be accessible through Battle.net
