I need Farcast help =/

I am lacking in the required post count on this site to post a URL. I am sorry that I did not know this and I will make an effort to correct this.

Hiya, i've been using your site for a while, and it rocks. Just registered today. =)

To the point though: im having problems with the farcast hack. I did exactly what the readme says, and it just isn't working for me. =/

Do I just put the text file in the D2 file? Or do you put the 2 containing folders that hold the text file in also?

I made the short cut target look like this:

"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\DiabloII.exe.exe" -direct -txt

Is that right?

Take the skills.txt document and move it to your exel folder(by default, C/Program Files/Diablo II/data/global/exel)
If it asks you to over wright it click no and move the skills txt document to your desktop or someplace easy to access it(incase you want to uninstall it).
Then move the skills txt file in your exel folder.
Now the shortcut you click to play D2 with right click it, and at the end, make it " -direct -txt "

without the quotes.

BTW: It only works with a amazon that has the skill "charged strike". Make sure it is on the left side of the skill box and that when you hold shift + click, it can attack a target from very far away.

Right? I have that. I gave the data folder pasted in my diablo 2 file. C:\Program Files\Diablo II

Im even using the D2loader. Still not working. =/




I just tried downloading Nightlight. It works fine. Tried editing the skills there by replacing it with the fc one. Still not working. Nightlight is, but fc doesn't.

Usually it doesnt work with nightlight, or at least for me it didnt, doesnt matter anyway. you MUST use d2loader

To clear up any confusion, it should be excel with the c in it. Also, he added another .exe. There should be Diablo II.exe w/o the extra .exe

So in the Diablo II folder, make a folder called data. In that folder, make another folder named global. In that folder, make another folder labeled excel. In the excel folder. put the skills.txt file in it.

Now, make a shortcut of the D2 icon. Right click ---> properties.

In the target box, put this in:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Videos\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct -txt

After the last quotes, press the space bar once and add the "direct -txt"

BTW: ONLY WORKS WITH AMAZONS WITH THE SKILL CHARGE STRIKE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE AND HOLDING SHIF KEY + CLICKING.
