Ummm....Fear has about a 2.5 sec cast rate last I checked.
You can run....but you'll just die tired.

yes i know but there is no cooldown on it why must a warriors fear have a 3 min cooldown and the locks not also its highly unbalanced when u can constantly fear while letting dmg out.

Fear is fine, l2p. Anyway, I don't see how a rogue can cry about it since you guys have so many "oh shit" buttons and are one of the only classes that can comfortably kill Warlocks. Just make sure you have the right spec, if you do a lot of 2v2 arena, it helps to spec Preparation.

Consider the fact that Fear is the Warlock's only defense, it's affected heavily by diminishing returns (and even more from next patch onwards) and can be broken easily. This is coming from a Druid and Warlocks are our worst enemies.

As far as I know, the different Fears are:
1) The regular Fear, 2.5 sec cast, no talents to help against interrupts to casting, cast can be broken with relative ease.
2) Skillcoil, 5min CD? The "OH SHIT" button for Warlocks.
3) AoE Fear?

All 3 share the same diminishing returns as far as I know, so you should be fine if you know what you're doing.

Not only that, Fear can only be cast on one target now, casting on another target while your primary is under the effects of fear takes it away from the primary target. And the length of time AND the distance of it in yards has been drasticly reduced over and over again. Warlocks can only wear cloth armour for crying out loud.

If I want to fear you and stack afflictions while my pet chases you, that's fine, I'll do that. If you want to overpower(warrior) or sap(rogue) go ahead. I always here rogues complain that warriors are overpowered because they are practily the only class that they can't beat with relative ease. They try to hit, you dodge, they try to run you overpower and rage. The classes are well balanced in my opinions, you just have to learn how to play them against each other. It would be pointless if it were easy to do so.

As with any other CC in the game.
Z3R0K00l Wrote:And the length of time AND the distance of it in yards has been drasticly reduced over and over again.
That's called diminishing returns.

Yet, if you spec Soul Links (THE spec for Arena), it's the same as if you wore Plate.

Relative ease? Coming from a Warlock? You're a comedian Zerokool. I can assure you that Warlock is THE easymode class to play and win. You need considerably less skill with a Warlock than you would with most other classes.

2nd of all, Rogues are not "wtfpwners". Affliction Warlocks are about the only thing that a Rogue can beat and he'll have to use most of his cooldowns while at it. Let's see, rogues will as a rule of thumb, lose to (I'll only list PvP builds) MS Warriors, Feral Druids, Demo Warlocks, Frost Mages, any Hunter (Rogue only stands a chance if he gets the opener, unlikely to happen). Now, that's what, like 80% of all PvP builds?

All of this is just at standard Veteran's PvP gear, however Rogues also scale terribly with high-end, such as S2 Gladiator gear. A Rogue has basically little chance of winning against any 400+ resilience character.

So please, don't go on a spree about overpower if you're a Warlock.

1.5 actually.

Also, don't try to argue that warlocks aren't OP you will fall hard.

Well i have a altered build to the backstab rogue with taking out the backstabing skills for evicerate and going hemo, its help alot i have killed plenty hunters and locks mages are tough and warriors and rogue vs rogue i can kill.

But i like m build bec i land up always doing more dmg than any other char class in a dugeon.

And you right about high end especially warrios and paladins i basically cant take them down but i have once or twice bec of my healing paladin.

If the high end warrior is with priest then i stand a better chance with a pally dont stand much chance at all

see if use my preperation and get a double cheap shot on you then i stand a chance but other wise no your armour is just to much but in bg's i put 5 combo point armor decrease on you which help the others to nuke you.

I've seen vids of level 70 god geared warlocks getting destroyed by MS warriors, elemental shaman and especially rogues. Are they OPd? No, but I hate their SL spells. If they get a fear off are you dead? Yes.

Yes, i have a 70 ms warrior, and since i discovered the magic move pummel, warlocks can't do shit, also LOS is great, they cast get behind em beat on em while their casting and it won't cast, or if your caught before them and they cast pummel and the best they can do are instant spells, which can hurt but not as much

A good warlock will generally win in equal gear.

I have yet to believe in a thing called a good warlock. I myself don't believe they are OP, but I DO believe they are an easy class to play.

And for those out there that like to play the Nerf game...

Nerf Warriors: Mortal Strike is overpowered can never heal my group to full life.
Nerf Mages: I just got pyroblast for 5k .
Nerf Druids: They have 20 k armor and is impossible to get down with my warrior or rogue.
Nerf Rogues: They stealth , stunlock, and just bring me down to 10% health before i can react.
Nerf Priests: They can just bubble , dot you , fear you , and slow you down .
Nerf Paladins: They can just bubble and heal themselves to full life .
Nerf Shamans: Their frost shock slows me down and they just chain lightning me for 4 k .
Nerf Hunters: They just kite you around , freeze trap you , and than /spit

...there ya go.

I find that hunters are only good if player is exceptional good with it, bec i generally take down hunters with my rogue.

Yea pallys to much armour and the bubble to heal full.

Shamans yea nature shock is a bitch.

Frost mages kite you with ease and arcane/fire mages basically two shot you

Dps priests are annoying because the go out for the shadow form to do some sort of decent healing

A druid in bear form i can basically not harm.

I supposed locks are not OP bec alot of people take it as there first char bec they are easy to play with and thats why it seems they are not strong, but if you find the right person with the right gear they can be lethal.

My brother a healing paladin plays with a kara/arena epic lock and he fears the healer in arena and then death coils and then he is good enough that by the time the healer is back in action the other char is dead.

Mass Dispel makes a Pallys bubble only good for about a second. Gogo Priest Power!

Nobody can handle the leetness of this sig.

Well in the end a priest is the only one that can cripple a paladin healer with mana burn and mass dispel.

Certainly every class has their powerful abilities. However its when one classes are much much more powerful then the rest it needs to be nerfed. (As a rogue I'm able to kill Locks almost every time) However I'm well aware that fearspam/dot/nuke is definitely OP and skillless yet affective as SHIT.
